Every letter has a number. Usha garu counts each name in two systems — Chaldean and Pythagorean — and reads the totals, the vowels and the spelling together with the date of birth.
In her notes a name is written with both totals: Keshin 21/30 means 21 in Chaldean (the Cheiro table, values 1 to 8) and 30 in Pythagorean (the alphabet counted in nines). She also looks at the vowel total, the first letter and the single-digit root.
A small spelling change — a doubled letter, an added h — moves the totals. That is why spelling matters as much as the name itself. Try it on the name number calculator.
Questions
Which system is right — Chaldean or Pythagorean?
Both are old systems. Usha garu works out both for every name and reads them together.
Can numerology change my life?
It is a traditional guide for choosing well — not a promise of results, and not a replacement for medical, legal or financial advice.
Do I need my time of birth?
For a name check, the date is usually enough. For a baby's star and pada, the time and place of birth are needed.
